Our Story
TryJobFit was built around a simple observation: job seekers often bounce between job boards, immigration explainers, resume advice, and AI tools without one place that makes the tradeoffs clear.
The product focuses on a narrower problem than a generic job board. It helps people compare Canadian jobs, inspect ATS resume fit, surface LMIA-related research signals, and draft application materials with clearer limitations and source context.
We're independent and still building the public trust layer of the site openly: methodology, editorial standards, AI disclosure, and page-quality rules are published so users can understand where the information comes from and where it stops being definitive.
Where Our Data Comes From
Accuracy matters when people are making career and immigration decisions. Every data point on JobFit — job listings, LMIA records, CRS cutoff scores, wage ranges, NOC classifications — comes from verifiable sources. Here is where:
IRCC
Immigration program rules, Express Entry draw data, study and work permit conditions, PGWP eligibility criteria.
ESDC / Job Bank
LMIA employer data, National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes, wage surveys, regional labour market outlooks.
Statistics Canada
Labour force surveys, immigration statistics, median income data, demographic breakdowns by province and occupation.
Provincial Regulators
Professional licensing requirements from PEO, EGBC, APEGA, CPA Canada, provincial nursing colleges, and law societies.
Our AI job matching algorithm scores positions across six dimensions: category relevance, geographic preference, salary fit, experience level, LMIA sponsorship status, and skills overlap. The Immigration Readiness Score (PR Score) weights five factors: LMIA sponsorship potential (30%), provincial program alignment (25%), occupational demand (20%), employer track record (15%), and job stability (10%). These weights are based on published IRCC program requirements and are reviewed when policy changes.
Blog content and guides go through a research and editorial review process before publication. We verify all immigration statistics, program requirements, and wage data against current government sources. Read our full editorial policy and AI disclosure.
