Editorial Policy
How we create, verify, and maintain the content on JobFit — from blog guides to AI-powered tools to job listing data.
Our Standards
JobFit publishes content about the Canadian job market, immigration pathways, and career development. Every piece of content on this platform — whether a blog post, a tool explanation, or a data visualization — is held to the same standard: it must be accurate, current, and genuinely useful to the person reading it.
We are not a news organization. We are a job matching platform that publishes educational content to help job seekers — particularly newcomers to Canada — navigate employment and immigration systems. Our content reflects that focus. We cover what we know well and avoid topics outside our expertise.
We do not accept sponsored content, paid placements within articles, or advertiser influence over editorial decisions. Job listings on our platform come from employer postings and government data sources, not from pay-for-placement arrangements.
Content Creation Process
Research and Sources
Our guides and articles draw from official government sources as primary references. These include:
- Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) — immigration program rules, study and work permit conditions, Express Entry criteria, PGWP eligibility, and policy updates.
- Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) — Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) data, National Occupational Classification (NOC) system, and labour market information.
- Job Bank Canada — occupation profiles, wage data, employment outlooks by region, and NOC code definitions.
- Statistics Canada — labour force surveys, immigration statistics, wage and salary data, and demographic information.
- Provincial regulatory bodies — licensing requirements for regulated professions (PEO, EGBC, APEGA, CPA Canada, provincial nursing colleges, law societies).
When we cite statistics — a CRS cutoff score, a minimum wage figure, an LMIA processing time — we verify against the most recent official source available. If a figure cannot be verified, we do not publish it.
Writing and Review
Content is written by the JobFit editorial team with input from immigration policy research and labour market data. For topics requiring specialized knowledge — credential recognition processes, provincial nominee programs, regulated profession licensing — we cross-reference with official program documentation and published guidance from professional regulatory bodies.
Every article goes through a factual accuracy check before publication. We verify claims, confirm links to official sources work, and ensure immigration program details reflect current policy. Immigration rules change frequently, and publishing outdated information can genuinely harm someone's application. We take that responsibility seriously.
AI-Assisted Content
Some content on JobFit is created with AI assistance. We use AI as a drafting and research tool — not as an unsupervised publisher. Every AI-assisted piece is reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by our editorial team before publication.
Our AI-powered tools (CRS calculator, cover letter generator, resume analyzer, skill gap analyzer) use Anthropic's Claude to process user inputs and generate personalized outputs. These tools are designed as starting points, not definitive advice. We encourage users to verify tool outputs against official sources and consult qualified professionals for immigration and legal decisions.
For a detailed breakdown of how we use AI across the platform, see our AI Disclosure page.
Content Updates and Maintenance
Immigration policy, labour market conditions, and employment laws change. Content that was accurate six months ago may not be today. We maintain our content through:
- Regular reviews. Published guides are reviewed periodically and updated when source material changes. Each article displays a "last reviewed" date so readers know how current the information is.
- Policy-triggered updates. When IRCC announces major policy changes — new Express Entry draw rules, PGWP eligibility changes, LMIA processing updates — we update affected articles within the same week.
- Data freshness. Job listings are refreshed continuously. LMIA data is sourced from ESDC and updated as new quarterly data becomes available. CRS cutoff scores are updated after each Express Entry draw.
- Reader feedback. If a reader flags an inaccuracy through our contact page, we investigate and correct verified errors within 48 hours.
Job Listing Data
Job listings on JobFit come from employer submissions and government data sources. We display LMIA-approved positions sourced from ESDC public data. Employer-posted jobs go through a moderation process before appearing on the platform.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of employer-provided information (salary ranges, job descriptions, company details). Our AI matching scores are algorithmic assessments based on profile data, not guarantees of hiring outcomes. Users should verify job details directly with employers before applying.

Corrections Policy
When we identify an error in published content — whether through internal review or reader feedback — we correct it promptly. For significant factual corrections, we note the update at the top of the article with the correction date and what changed.
To report an inaccuracy or suggest a correction, contact us at tryjobfit.com/contact. Include the page URL and the specific information you believe is incorrect, along with a source if possible.
