1. Information we collect
When you use TryJobFit, we may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, profile details, resume content, job preferences, work authorization context, saved jobs, applications, alerts, and messages sent through forms.
We also collect technical and usage data such as IP address, device type, browser, pages visited, referring URLs, approximate location, session activity, and diagnostic events needed to keep the service secure and reliable.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Show relevant jobs, saved jobs, alerts, and application tools.
- Provide resume, cover letter, ATS, salary, and career features.
- Improve content quality, navigation, security, and performance.
- Send transactional emails and user-requested job alerts.
- Measure site usage and understand which public content is useful.
- Serve, measure, and improve advertising where ads are enabled.
- Comply with legal, security, and fraud-prevention obligations.
3. Advertising and Google services
TryJobFit may use Google AdSense and related Google advertising services. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, browser signals, and similar technologies to serve ads, limit repeated ads, measure ad performance, and help prevent fraud and abuse.
Google may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to TryJobFit or other websites. Users can manage ad personalization in Google Ads Settings. Users can also read how Google uses data when users visit partner sites or apps.
4. Cookies, consent, and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality, authentication, preferences, analytics, advertising, and security. Google Analytics helps us understand aggregate site usage. ContentSquare may help us identify confusing user experience patterns. Google OAuth is used when a user signs in with Google.
Where legally required, including for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, personalized advertising requires valid consent through Google's consent tools or a Google-certified consent management platform.

5. AI-assisted features
Some TryJobFit tools use AI to help with job matching, resume feedback, cover letters, and career suggestions. AI outputs are assistance only and should be reviewed by the user before being used in an application or decision. We do not sell user profile or resume data to AI providers for their own advertising use.
6. Sharing and disclosure
We may share information with service providers that help operate the platform, including hosting, email, analytics, security, payment, authentication, and advertising providers. If you apply to a job through TryJobFit, the information you submit may be shared with the relevant employer or application destination.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users, to prevent fraud or abuse, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
7. Data retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and prevent abuse. We use safeguards such as HTTPS, access controls, and secure infrastructure, but no online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. User choices and rights
Depending on location, users may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or opt-out support for certain processing. Users can also unsubscribe from marketing or alert emails using links in those emails or by contacting us.
Browser settings can block or delete cookies. Advertising choices can also be managed through Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tools.
9. Canada and children's privacy
TryJobFit is operated from Canada and is designed for job seekers and employers, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
