Address : 343 rue Isabey, Saint-Laurent, QC H4T 1Y2 Website: www.batransport.ca Location of employment: Montréal/Saint-Laurent, Québec Wage: $36.00/hour Hours: Minimum 35 hours per week Position: Transportation Logistics Coordinator NOC: 13201 – Production and transportation logistics coordinators Job Summary B&A Transport is seeking an experienced Transportation Logistics Coordinator to support and coordinate the company's transportation operations across Canada. The company operates a fleet of trucks and coordinates the activities and schedules of 21 employees on payroll and approximately 25 subcontractors. We currently operate a fleet of approximately 34 trucks and 28 trailers. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation activities, driver schedules and assignments, monitoring deliveries, communicating with drivers and customers, and responding to operational changes and delays. The position requires strong knowledge of transportation logistics, scheduling, route coordination and delivery tracking. Main duties: • Coordinate and monitor the daily transportation activities of drivers operating across Canada; • Prepare and coordinate driver schedules and transportation assignments; • Coordinate routes and delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods; • Monitor deliveries, shipment status and estimated arrival times; • Communicate with drivers regarding routes, schedules, delivery instructions and operational changes; • Coordinate with customers and other stakeholders regarding pickups, deliveries and shipment status; • Respond to delays, scheduling conflicts, breakdowns and other transportation-related issues and coordinate appropriate solutions; • Monitor driver and vehicle availability and adjust transportation schedules when required; • Maintain accurate records relating to transportation activities, deliveries, schedules and driver assignments; • Use transportation management and scheduling systems to monitor and coordinate shipments; • Assist in optimizing routes and transportation schedules to improve efficiency and delivery performance; • Communicate operational issues and transportation requirements to management; • Ensure that transportation activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements; • Prepare operational information and reports relating to transportation activities when required; and • Perform other transportation logistics coordination duties related to the company's operations. Requirements: • Completion of secondary school is required; • Post-secondary education in logistics, transportation, supply chain management or a related field is considered an asset; • Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation logistics, dispatch, scheduling or a related field; • Experience coordinating drivers and transportation schedules; • Experience with transportation management or dispatch software; • Strong organizational and time-management skills; • Ability to manage multiple transportation activities simultaneously; • Strong communication skills; and • Ability to work independently and make operational decisions in a fast-paced transportation environment. Le poste exige une solide connaissance de la logistique du transport, de la planification des horaires, de la coordination des itinéraires et du suivi des livraisons. Principales fonctions • Coordonner et surveiller les activités quotidiennes de transport des chauffeurs qui effectuent des trajets à travers le Canada; • Préparer et coordonner les horaires des chauffeurs ainsi que les affectations de transport;
