Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation
  • Operate heavy equipment
  • Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Use International Organization for Standardization (ISO) pattern joystick controls
  • Use Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) controls pattern
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
  • Measure distance, volume, length and weight
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
  • Secure special attachments to equipment
  • Operate hydraulic pumping systems
