Responsibilities

• Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas
• Clear fields of wood and stones
• Develop and guide the behaviour of farm animals
• Diagnose livestock health issues
• Disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses
• Handling animals
• Monitor the calving process
• Monitoring animal health
• Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
• Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving
• Supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly
• Track and report on current feed inventory
• Treat livestock health issues
• Fertilize and spray crops
• Harvest crops
• Feed and tend animals
• Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
• Milk cows
• Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
• Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
• Perform general farm duties

• Location Lakeside, ONN0M 2G0
• Work location On site
• Salary$17.60 to $24.00HOUR hourly (To be negotiated) / 60 to 80 hours per week
• Terms of employment Permanent employmentFull time
• Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend
